With a network and reach that spans the UK, Beyond the Streets offers vital support and understanding to women selling sex. Their street outreach programmes, day-time support and call-back services offer vulnerable women safe spaces to be heard, and help them to find workable ways to realise a future free from exploitation. The charity takes a person-centred, trauma-led approach, and – through wide-reaching training programmes and publication of sound research – works to break down the stigma associated with selling sex, and instil a level of understanding that they hope will lead to the end of all sexual exploitation and violence against women.
The Symondson Foundation has committed to unrestricted, multi-year giving to support Beyond the Streets, particularly whilst they expand their training programmes, and concentrate on sharing their insight and much-needed research on these underserved women of our society.
